Roller length:
Suitable roller lengths (i.e. roller surface length, denoted by W) should be selected for goods of different widths. For linear conveying, the following formula can generally be used to select:
W=B+△B
In the formula:B——Cargo width
         △B——Width margin,generally taken as △B=50~150(mm)
For the transportation of turning sections, the calculation formula for the length of the roller can refer to W=  -R+(50~150),For goods with high bottom rigidity, the width of the goods can be greater than the length of the roller without affecting normal transportation and safety, and W ≥ 0.8B is generally recommended.

Roller spacing:
To ensure the smooth transportation of goods, the selection principle of roller spacing (i.e. center distance, represented by T) is: at least 3 rollers support the goods at any time, i.e. T ≤ 1/3L. For goods that require stable transportation, T=(1/4~1/5) L or smaller can be taken.
1. For flexible and slender goods, it is also necessary to consider the winding degree of the goods. The winding degree of the goods on a roller spacing should be less than 1/500 of the roller spacing, otherwise it will greatly increase the running resistance;
2. The spacing selection for double chain conveying must also meet the formula:T=n*P/2;
3. The selection of the spacing between rollers with multiple wedges will be constrained by the model of the multiple wedges.
